Donna Lindeman Porter, M.F.A. is an artist, performing artist, curator, educator and world traveler. She has a Bachelor's of Fine Arts and a Master's of Fine Arts (Painting) from the University of Washington. She is an artist-in-residence whose work has included the Harborview Hospital Burn Unit, schools, theaters, and has served as artistic director for the Seattle Pacific Arts Center and the Kirkland Arts Center. Her exhibit venues have included Seattle Pacific University, Bumpershoot, The Anne Gould Hauberg Gallery, the Henry Gallery at the University of Washington, the Kirkland Art Center and the Nordic Heritage Museum. For recent news and feature articles, click here. Whether with a brush or a mound of clay, Donna reaches out to the abyss and brings back something new to view, touch and inspire. Her work is a complex mixture of pathos and humor with an explosion of expressive color and texture. Animals are frequent subjects for her art and she will Donna now resides at her home art studio overlooking Lake Washington with her cats, Raffles and Tigger. She frequently acts as an art lecturer or tour director for a Seattle travel agency and visits places afar. |
